Later that same day the next year.

I was somewhat pleased to discover when I returned home from my walk to the lake yesterday and had uploaded, sorted and labelled the photos I had just taken that I had done the walk to the lake the same day last year but at an earlier time. This first batch of photos are from sunrise to about 9:00 am on Wednesday, September 29th, 2021 and the second batch are from 9;00 am to about 11:30 am on Thursday, September 29th, 2022.

Note the green bee.

This next batch of photos from Thursday, September 29th, 2022 started later and do not include a shot of the sunrise.  Also, the photos begin at the start of the walk to the lake, whereas the ones from Wednesday, September 29th, 2021 begin at the lake itself for the simple reason that it is too dark to take a decent photo until the sun comes up - at least with my camera.

The same day last year.

These photos were all taken on

Monday, September 27th, 2021.

The salmon run is on.
I am not sure why the fisherman abandoned this catch last year.

Just this morning.

As it turns out, I didn't take any photos on a walk to the lake for almost two entire weeks this time last year so this week's photos are all from just this morning.

For some reason these purple flowers are unable
to unfurl their petals until the sunlight hits them.

Whereas these tiny white ones
seem to have no such issues.

I myself prefer a bit of sun for my selfies.

Almost all of these flowers are pink,
so these two are somewhat unusual.

May Day Eve

All of these photos were taken the afternoon of Wednesday, April 30th, 2025.
